Georgian McDonalds employes 160 people. The number of the employees increased 30 percent this year. 7m USD was invested to start up McDonalds in Georgia.

Poor 2863 kids, do they know that McDonald's is not healthy and in fashion in the west??? hm, but is Sakhinkle better place or healthier???

In sociology MacDonadlization refers to dehumanisation of workforce, exploitation of workers, extreme beuraucracy, massproduction of standardized low quality products and general export of american "culture". The chairs in the restaurant is designed to make people feel uncomfortable so they dont spend much time sitting after eating, so that the mext customer can quickly
finish his junkmeal.

I have a serious problem with that company and everything it represents. There's no substatial values there besides pushing junk.

That said: Khingali is not my favourite burger replacement either :-) Give me a khatchapouri!( without eggs, please)

Agreement & Disageement:

I know about the problems with the transformation from east to west. I don't need McBurgers. I agree (full line) to Eistein. problematically for me is the disappearance of traditionell food for example in quite different areas of life style - to much west-food ...

And my disagreement to the writer's opinion is I'd like kore Khinkali in Tusheti for example... ;-)

heheheheheh Adjaran Khatchapouri is too much for me. But khinkali with eggs! No way! :-) Anyway I now have lost 4 kilos in one month after leaving Georgia this summer. And also my intestines works again.

I realized after my trips to Georgia that Norwegian food has desintegrated into being junk-food. Gone is traditional food like pig, ox and fish. Latest research says that 100 000 families eat pizza christmas eve.

Shit. Thats not what I wrote in this post! Something is wrong with this blogger program.......

Anyway I said that it wasn't traditionalism, but just common sence. Happy workers perform better than unhappy workers. Newliberalists tend to forget longterm investments and only goes after short sight profit. No responsibilities towards societys needs. I also praised the Calvinistic approach..the real capitalists. They reinvested the profit instead of spending it, or as today pay the stockholders unreasonable high profits. Many global companies only exploit without returning anything to the society. That is wrong. I am not traditionalist, only a businessman. And the fact that my most profitable clients think like calvinists and not like american opportunists assures me that I am right in this matter..hehe Mac Donalds is the symbol of everything wrong in the business world.

Eistein, I totaly agree with you! I just joked about georgian traditionalists who are against any foreign investment...
